Getting to Fortaleza

The closest airport is Fortaleza International Airport, which has daily flights to Lisbon and connections to Paris and Madrid several times a week.  TAP Portugal, Air France and Iberia are the airlines serving European destinations. GOL and LATAM also serves destination in USA, Argentina and Chile from Fortaleza. The airport is also well connected to all major hubs in Brazil, such as São Paolo and Rio de Janeiro. 

Getting to Quixaba

Quixaba is located approximately 160 km from Fortaleza, connected with good roads. Public transportation outside of major cities in Brazil can be challenging. The most convenient way of getting from Fortaleza to Quixaba is therefore through private shuttle, taxi or rental car. We are happy to help organize the details. Uber can be a good option for getting from Fortaleza for a fixed price, but will not work in the other direction. Bus options include taking a public bus from Fortaleza to Aracati and then local shuttles that goes from Aracati to the surrounding beach villages. Not an option we recommend unless you want a very authentic local transportation experience. 

For car rental check www.localiza.com and unidas.com.br. Smaller independent rental agencies exist as well at the airport and in Fortaleza but can be less reliable than the two big national companies. 

The closest airport is Aeroporto de Aractati (ARX - Aeroporto Regional de Canoa Quebrada Dragão do Mar), 20 minutes from Quixaba. There are currently no scheduled commercial flights to Aracati, but the airport is available for private and charter flights. Helicopter transfer from Fortaleza is possible. The property does not have a helipad, but there is ample space for landing. Please contact us for details.
